Between 1958 and 2012, Dr. Starzl published more than 100 articles on a variety of clinical and/or laboratory innovations. Most of these involved observations or solutions to problems had application in more than one of the main themes that made up his total body of work.
These auxiliary advances have generated a relatively steady and cumulatively significant level of interest in the medical literature over the 53-year time period encompassed by this survey (Figure 1 and Figure 2).
